Dane Thornburgh 

Dane has practiced extensively in commercial litigation, corporate litigation and administrative law for many years since he was admitted as Solicitor in QLD in 2003.

He commenced his legal career working for Bennett & Philp Solicitors in Brisbane in Common Law & Commercial Law areas.

When called to the Bar in February 2005, Dane practised in commercial disputes of all types with an emphasis on civil/commercial and corporate litigation.

In 2007 Dane was invited to join the prestigious, Culwulla Chambers in Castlereagh Street Sydney, Australia.

In 2009 Dane travelled to the Pacific and practised in the Financial / Corporate Centre of Vanuatu where he spent many years, prior to returning to the Brisbane Bar.

Dane acted for and provided advice for many large companies such as Samsung, Apple, Carpenters Shipping & the Pernix group as well as advice for the Government.

Instructions were also received from large international Law firms and organisations. 

Dane developed a busy Appellate practise in Vanuatu and specialised in corporate, commercial litigation and administrative law.

Dane has a high level of experience in all aspects of commercial litigation, corporate transactions, commercial law & administrative law.

He is well versed in the areas of company law, partnership disputes, insolvency, banking and finance litigation. Dane’s extensive experience across a range of industries sees that he is well placed to advise and act for client on the legal and commercial issues affecting them

Dane’s background as Barrister – at – Law in prestigious Sydney Chambers is evidence of his level of advocacy experience.
