Kelly McIntyre was called to the Queensland Private Bar in 2010, having spent the earlier part of her career as a lawyer at Carter Newell Lawyers, Minter Ellison Lawyers and Malleson Stephen Jaques, and as in-house legal counsel at Ansaldo STS Australia.
She has extensive experience in the areas of Building & Construction, Energy & Resources, Corporate & Commercial, Insurance and Personal Injuries.
Her experience covers oral and written advocacy; regulatory advice in respect of an array of legislation applicable to her various areas of practice; and extensive contract drafting, review and interpretation skills in respect of various resources, project, commercial and financial documents.
Kelly is an experienced Nationally Accredited Mediator in personal injuries, commercial, building and minor disputes. She is an active contributor of pro-bono advice and mediator for QPILCH.
Kelly is a panel Barrister for AAI Limited, she is on the editorial panel of the LexisNexis Australian Alternative Dispute Resolution Bulletin and is a General Referee on the Queensland Government Building and Development Dispute Resolution Committee.
Kelly contributes widely to the legal profession and community at large through her active involvement in a number of organisations including as immediate past President of WLAQ, immediate past Chair of MLAANZ (Qld Chapter), committee member of AMPLA and she is on the board of the Bayside Community Legal Centre.
