Thomas Ambrose

Thomas has a commercial practice with a focus on general commercial litigation, construction and infrastructure disputes (including security of payment), professional negligence and competition and consumer law.

Since his call to the Bar in 2022, Thomas has established a busy practice appearing in court and tribunal proceedings (in Queensland and interstate), mediations, expert determinations and arbitrations. He appears both led and unled. 

Prior to the Bar, Thomas was a special counsel at a national law firm in Australia and an Associate to Justice Alan Wilson in the Supreme Court of Queensland.

Thomas is recognised in Doyle’s Guide 2026 as one of the recommended junior counsel in Australia in construction and infrastructure law. He is also ranked as one of the leading junior counsel in Queensland in that area.
